Penbrook Borough is pleased to announce the completion of significant improvements to Little Valley Park, symbolizing an exciting new chapter for one of the Borough's most cherished community spaces. For generations, Little Valley Park has served as a gathering place for Penbrook residents of all ages. Beyond providing opportunities for recreation, the park has long been home to the Borough's annual Summer Recreation Program, welcoming children ages 6 to 12 for outdoor activities, games, crafts, and educational programming each summer. The revitalization of the park ensures that future generations will continue to enjoy a safe, welcoming, and vibrant place to play, connect, and build lasting memories.

Here's a recap of week two of the Little Valley Summer Program!
"What an amazing week at the Little Valley Summer Program! Our campers were on the move from start to finish with hands-on fun, exciting guests, and colorful creativity! They built fantastic woodworking kits with the Penbrook Lions Club, met the inspiring Coach Josh from the JT Dorsey Soccer Foundation, and discovered the power of healthy eating with UPMC Dietitian Mrs. Mallory. We also learned valuable eye safety tips from Mrs. Terressa of Vision Resources before wrapping up the week by creating bright, one-of-a-kind tie-dye t-shirts. Smile, learning, teamwork, and tons of fun made this a day to remember!"

"What a fantastic week at Little Valley! Campers stayed active and had a blast playing flag football with Mayor McDonald and hitting the soccer field with JT Dorsey and Coach Laura. Laughter and teamwork filled the air during exciting water balloon battles, while creativity and kindness shined as campers made heartfelt cards for someone important in their lives. From energetic games to unforgettable memories with friends, the week was packed with fun, friendship, and plenty of smiles!"

We at citizens fire company are deeply saddened to announce the passing of life member, past assistant fire chief, past fire police captain Robert “Bob” Treaster. Treaster spent over 50 years in the fire service holding multiple positions in the department. Please keep the Treaster family in your thoughts and prayers.
