The Penbrook Borough Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer from any Act 120 certified persons. The department is a premier accredited agency with 9 full-time and 1 part-time officers. Act 120 Certified is preferred but not required. Those hired without previous training will be paid to attend the academy and their tuition paid as well. Borough Council recently approved a lateral transfer incentive for up to 10 years of full-time experience. Under the current contract, officers with 6 to 10 years will earn a base salary of $80,488.00 in 2026. Paid time off will be commensurate with prior years of service as well.
