Police Officer, Penbrook Borough, Dauphin County
The Penbrook Borough Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer. The department is a premier accredited agency with 9 full-time and 1 part-time officers. Act 120 Certified is preferred but not required. Those hired without previous training will be paid to attend the academy and their tuition paid as well.
Borough Council recently approved a lateral transfer incentive for up to 10 years of full- time experience. Under the current contract, officers with 6 to 10 years will earn a base salary of $80,488.00 in 2026. Paid time off will be commensurate with prior years of service as well.
Application Process:
Applications for the position may be obtained from either the borough office or downloaded from www.penbrook.org/policeapplication. The applications can be dropped off in person during the office hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday or emailed to the chief at jhogarth@penbrook.org. The application deadline is Friday November 28 at 4:30 pm. All testing, PT, written and oral, will take place on Thursday December 4. The borough office is located at 150 South 28 th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103.

Valid PA driver’s license
