PRI is now a proud Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful partner for a portion of Elm Street in the Borough of Penbrook
Penbrook Revitalization, Inc. {PRI), is a 501 (c) 3 organized in 2002 as a DCED Main Street Affiliate. PRI’s mission is to provide for and assist in Borough projects to improve the living environment, safety and welfare of its residents and businesses, and to assist in projects to improve the downtown business area, and all other businesses, stimulating economic development activities.
As part of its economic development mission, PRI implemented a Property of Merit program in 2008. This program acknowledges businesses and residential owners for maintaining their properties in a superior manner. Penbrook Property of Merit (PPOM) program celebrates the effect of one property owner’s positive influence on the neighborhood.
In addition, PRI sponsors the Borough’s Annual Yard Sale on the first Saturday in June,
and holds its annual Holiday Bazaar on the first Saturday in December at the Community Building.
PRI Board of Directors are also volunteers engaged in various community initiatives that further the mission of the organization. You will find PRI Board of Directors serving in the Penbrook Lions Club, or as an advisor in the Penbrook Leo Club, or as members of the Borough’s Parks Subcommittee, or on the Zoning Board, or as a Borough webmaster, or as Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful advocates throughout the year.
